NPOEXPO Attendee FAQ Sheet

There are other locally-sponsored conferences and educational events in my region.  How is NPOEXPO different from these sessions?

Most of the sessions you refer to are geared toward the unique governance, management and fund development issues nonprofit organizations face.  NPOEXPO focuses, instead, on business-to-business resources and education geared toward helping your organization’s “bottom line” and business awareness (i.e. efficiency, effectiveness, new trends, etc.).

How do I know that the exhibitors present at an NPOEXPO event are willing to service the geographic area where my organization operates?

The event organizers at NPOEXPO ensure each exhibitor and consultant accepted for participation in a given venue is willing to service the geographic region where the show is held.

May I attend an NPOEXPO event in another geographic region besides the one where my organization is located?

Anyone may register for any NPOEXPO event, especially if your organization operates over multiple geographic regions or there is a particular exhibitor or consultant scheduled with whom you would like to interact.  However, if maximum registration is reached for a given event, the show organizers may ask you to withdraw your registration so that another nonprofit located closer to the event may attend.

May I bring material about my nonprofit organization’s services to distribute at NPOEXPO?

While this event is not intended as a spotlight for attendees’ organizations or services, we invite all nonprofit organizations represented to bring one document up to 8 ½ x 11 – a newsletter, flyer, brochure, annual report, business card, etc. – and place it on the NPO Info tables that will be set up at each event for this purpose.  Exhibitors and other attendees may then pick up the information from this table at their convenience.
